The Arizona Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld Republican-crafted voter pamphlet summary language using the phrase “unborn human being” in a description of an abortion rights ballot measure.
The decision from the state’s conservative top court is a setback for Arizona for Abortion Access, which had its abortion rights petition certified Aug. 12 for the ballot by Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D).
