Appeals Court Keeps Indiana’s Medicaid Program in Place for Now

A federal appeals court allowed an Indiana Medicaid program introducing premiums and other restrictions to temporarily continue after concluding it lacked the jurisdiction to hear the challenge to an earlier decision rejecting US approval of the program.

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on Tuesday dismissed an appeal from Indiana seeking to reverse the lower court decision invalidating its Healthy Indiana Plan 2.0 Medicaid expansion program and sending it back to the US Department of Health and Human Services.
