Blue Cross and Blue Shield affiliates in Oklahoma didn’t conspire to keep a surgical center in Tulsa from gaining a foothold in the market, a federal court has ruled (Bristow Endeavor Healthcare LLC v. Blue Cross & Blue Shield Ass’n, 2016 BL 182986, N.D. Okla., 4:16-cv-00057, 6/8/16).
The court ruled that the parent company of the surgical center failed to show that the insurers had any part in an alleged conspiracy by the center’s primary competitors to push the center out of business.
