Anti-abortion groups are asking a federal appeals court to affirm an order barring New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) from suing them for allegedly violating state false advertising law.
James’ state-court enforcement actions against anti-abortion pregnancy centers over their “abortion-reversal” advertisements likely violate the federal plaintiffs’ First Amendment free-speech rights, the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates and others told the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Monday.
