Anthem Resolves Calif. Provider Directory Error Case

Anthem Blue Cross will pay $15 million under a court settlement to reimburse 712,000 California enrollees who paid too much for care because its provider directories were inaccurate (Anthem Blue Cross Affordable Care Act Cases, Cal. Super. Ct., JCCP 4805, approval hearing 8/12/16).

Lawyers for the enrollees are submitting a proposed order to Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elihu M. Berle Aug. 16, after he said Aug. 12 that he’ll approve the settlement of four combined lawsuits against Anthem Blue Cross.
