Anthem Insurance Gets Dismissal of Whistleblowers’ Medicaid Suit

Anthem Insurance Companies Inc. and others defeated a whistleblower suit alleging the companies unlawfully received Indiana Medicaid funds, in violation of the False Claims Act.

Whistleblowers John D. McCullough and James R. Holden’s suit is dismissed because they didn’t allege the defendants’ alleged misconduct was material to government payment decisions, Judge Tanya Walton Pratt of the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana said in a Tuesday order dismissing some claims without prejudice.
