All Seven Major Pharma Cos to Testify in Drug Price Hearing (1)

All seven major pharmaceutical companies invited by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley will testify in the February 26 Senate hearing on drug pricing, after AbbVie and AstraZeneca confirmed they will be sending representatives.

• AbbVie CEO Rick Gonzales will attend the hearing; AstraZeneca confirmed it will send CEO Pascal Soriot
• The Finance Committee held its first hearing on drug pricing on January 29; Grassley (R-Iowa) notes in his invitation for the Feb. 26 hearing that several companies he invited had initially declined the committee’s request to testify
