Air Ambulances Lose Medical Surprise Billing Court Challenge (1)

A federal court dismissed a challenge by the association that represents air ambulances in a case involving the No Surprises Act, ruling in favor of the federal government and the way in which it sets payment rates.

Judge Richard J. Leon of the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday granted the cross motion for summary judgment of the departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, the Treasury, and the Office of Personnel Management, and denied the motion for summary judgment of the Association of Air Medical Services.
