Compassion & Choices Action Network, a national advocacy group for laws that enable terminally ill people to end their lives on their own terms, told a federal court it would like to help defend Colorado’s medical aid in dying law.
The group, joined by patients and providers, moved to intervene Tuesday in a lawsuit challenging Colorado’s End of Life Options Act, saying the state defendants might not adequately represent their narrower and more “personal” interests in maintaining this option for the state’s citizens.
