The Trump administration is planning to revisit a Biden-era rule requiring parity in employers’ mental health insurance benefits by the end of the year, a trio of federal agencies told a federal court.
The Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury departments told the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday that they plan to issue a notice of proposed rulemaking around the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act “no later than December 31, 2026.”
Details will be included in the 2026 spring regulatory agenda, although the departments didn’t say when it would be released. ...
