ACA Transgender Bias Rule Will Finally Get Day in Court

A regulation prohibiting health-care providers from discriminating against transgender people and women who have had abortions is finally moving forward nearly two years after a court blocked its enforcement.

Eight states, a religious hospital network, and an association of over 19,000 Christian health-care professionals asked Judge Reed O’Connor, of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dec. 17 to lift an order that had prevented the case from proceeding. O’Connor agreed.
