Nearly half of more than 200 employers surveyed cover medically required and elective abortions for employees and dependents under their medical plan, according to a survey released Thursday.
Nearly 62% cover paid time off for employees that have abortion services, including travel and recovery, according to the report by the Integrated Benefits Institute, a research and benchmarking organization in Oakland, Calif.
