Abortion Provider Defends Order Halting Arkansas Regulations

An order blocking Arkansas’s enforcement of three abortion laws, including an 18-week gestational age ban, a “reason” ban, and a limitation on who can perform the procedure, must be upheld, a provider told the Eighth Circuit.

A lower federal court properly found that Little Rock Family Planning Services was likely to succeed on its challenge to the constitutionality of all three restrictions, as the provisions are facially unconstitutional, the provider argued to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit Dec. 30.
