Abortion Clinic Mounts Challenge Against West Virginia Law (2)

A West Virginia abortion clinic is mounting a legal challenge against a state law requiring abortions be carried out in hospitals, calling its requirements “irrational.”

Enacted in September, the state law also requires that physicians providing medication abortion have hospital privileges in the state, according to the lawsuit, filed Wednesday by the Women’s Health Center of West Virginia in US District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
