7th Cir. Rebuffs Challenge To Accretive Health Class Settlement

A dissatisfied class member failed Dec. 9 to overturn a $14 million settlement of class securities litigation against health services provider Accretive Health Inc. (Wong v. Accretive Health Inc., 7th Cir., 14-2191, 12/9/14).

Judge Daniel Manion, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said the district court properly refused to “`quantify the net expected value of continued litigation’” in signing off on the agreement.
