3M, Chemours Face PFAS Carpet Coating Deception Class Suit (1)

3M Co., EIDP Inc., and The Chemours Co. were accused in a a proposed class action of covering up the harms of PFAS chemicals they sold as carpet stain repellents.

The companies, as well as Daikin America Inc.—which isn’t a defendant—"have not paid a dime for the grievous harms caused by carpets in homes and day-care centers infused with PFAS, and none of them has offered to replace any carpets treated with PFAS-infused products,” according to the complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
