The officers of a now-closed chain of hormone therapy clinics plan to appeal to the Tennessee Supreme Court after a state appellate court upheld an $18 million judgment against them for deceptive advertising, their attorney said Aug. 26.
HRC Medical Centers, which once operated about 50 clinics, shut down shortly after the Tennessee attorney general first accused it in 2012 of deceptive advertising — allegedly for overstating the health benefits and failing to disclose the risks of its bio-identical hormone replacement treatment.
