Wolverine Tube Loses Protest of AAR $174 Million Pallet Contract

Wolverine Tube Inc. failed to show that the US Air Force improperly awarded AAR Manufacturing Inc. a $174 million contract for the manufacture and delivery of next generation air cargo pallets, the GAO said in a decision released Tuesday.

Wolverine didn’t demonstrate that the Air Force’s discussions about pricing were misleading, and caused Wolverine to increase its price, the Government Accountability Office said.

Telling bidders to take into consideration any effects from the Covid-19 pandemic wasn’t misleading, the GAO said.
