Vibrant America LLC will pay $5.25 million under a settlement to resolve claims that it defrauded Medicare by engaging in a kickback scheme for blood testing that violated the False Claims Act, a California district court said.
Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California Feb. 4 signed a consent judgment that would end the nearly six-year suit.
