Veterans Affairs Ignored Price Advantage in IT Award, Suit Says

Veteran First Technologies LLC says the government improperly selected Hlinc Corp.'s nearly $68 million bid to provide IT services to the US Department of Veterans Affairs’ benefits administration.

The VA didn’t meaningfully consider Veteran First’s “price advantage” before deciding Hlinc’s technical advantage justified its selection, Veteran First told the US Court of Federal Claims in a partially redacted complaint made public Monday.

The court should enjoin Hlinc’s performance, require the VA to make a new award decision, and give price appropriate consideration as required by the solicitation, Veteran First said.
