VA Properly Axed Bid From $100 Million Warehouse Procurement

Hurricane Consulting Inc. failed to show that the US Department of Veterans Affairs unfairly excluded its proposal to provide warehouse logistics support services, under a procurement worth more than $100 million, the GAO ruled in a decision released Wednesday.

Eliminating Hurricane’s bid was reasonable because it didn’t comply with key personnel requirements concerning minimum experience, the US Government Accountability Office said.

The VA issued its request for proposals to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses to support two logistics services centers in Colorado, and one service distribution center in Illinois. The solicitation contemplated the award of two contracts.
