The US government convinced a federal district court to dismiss a portion of whistleblowers’ False Claims Act suit alleging that Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and others defrauded a federal mortgage assistance program.
Claims raised against Ocwen—which accrued on or before February 17, 2017, are now dismissed, Judge Amos L. Mazzant of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said in a Friday order.
