US Bid to Revive Harvard DEI Fraud Case Rejected by D.C. Judge

The US government failed to convince a federal judge that the Trump Administration’s approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion requires reinstating a False Claims Act suit against Harvard College that the Biden Administration opposed.

Federal prosecutors didn’t show that the court in 2024 improperly dismissed whistleblower Patrick Low’s suit alleging the Ivy League school made false statements to the US Department of Education about its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act in a government grant application, Judge Loren L. AliKhan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said in a Wednesday ruling.
