US Approves $374 Million Sale of Guided Bomb Kits for Ukraine

The State Department has approved Ukraine’s request to purchase up to $374 million worth of GPS-guided bomb kits, according to an announcement Tuesday.

The approval would enable Ukraine to buy extended range variants of Boeing Co.’s Joint Direct Attack Munitions, as well as related equipment. Kyiv could purchase up to 1,200 KMU-572 JDAM tail kits and 332 KMU-556 JDAM tail kits, along with fuzes, spares and other support equipment, the State Department said.
