United Technologies Must Face Whistleblower’s Jet Fraud Suit

United Technologies Corp. and its subsidiary Pratt and Whitney must face claims they violated the False Claims Act by failing to adhere to procedures required under a nearly $4 billion military jet engine contract, the District of Connecticut said.

Whistleblower Peter J.Bonzani, Jr., corrected flaws in his previous complaint by identifying contract specifications concerning the proper way to spray-coat and seal jet parts that Pratt and Whitney allegedly failed to follow, said Judge Janet C. Hall of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
