President Donald Trumpis planning on asking US defense companies to produce weapons under license in Europe and Ukraine, according to officials familiar with the discussions.

“They would like to be able to do it, we’ll take a look at it,” Trump told reporters on Wednesday when asked about the plans at the Group of Seven summit in Evian, France.
