Trump Reported to Tap L3Harris for Air Force One 747 Refit (1)

US President Donald Trump has commissioned L3Harris Technologies Inc. to overhaul a used Boeing Co.747 to serve as an interim presidential jet as the US planemaker’s planned replacements for Air Force One suffer from continuing delays, the Wall Street Journal reported.

L3Harris, the US aerospace and military technology contractor, will retrofit a 747 formerly used by the Qatari government, the Journal reported, citing sources it didn’t name. Trump wants to have the plane available for use as early as the fall, according to the report.
