Trace’s $600 Million Defense Contract Cancellation Gets New Look

The Defense Information Systems Agency will reconsider its decision to cancel a communication systems operation procurement and the $600 million contract Trace Systems Inc. received in September 2021, the US Court of Federal Claims said.

It will also reconsider its decision to award General Dynamics Information Technology a sole source bridge contract, as well as Trace’s allegations “regarding bias or ethical violations” related to that award, Judge Zachary N. Somers said in a Tuesday order granting the government’s motion for remand.

The remand period will last until Sept. 2, the court said.
