A pair of fast-moving opportunities central to modernizing Department of Veterans Affairs health care delivery and streamlining Army’s global communications network could mean at least $4 billion in new business to qualified professional services vendors.

Details are emerging following the VA’s sudden announcement in March that the agency would recompete its $1.5 billion Integrated Healthcare Transformation advisory services set-aside this year—six years ahead of schedule—and that an IHT 2.0 was in the works.
