Top 20: DOD Begins $4 Billion Leidos Health System Recompete

Health IT firms and integrators will have a shot at supporting the Defense Department’s ongoing health modernization program with the launch of a follow-on solicitation to the decade-old Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization vehicle.

A pair of “risk analysis” documents released Feb. 5 signaled the start of DHMSM 2, or “Dim Sum 2.” The solicitation will be designed to maintain and refresh a portfolio of integrated health information technology built around the Military Health System’s GENESIS electronic health record platform from Oracle-Cerner that DOD adopted nearly a decade ago.
