Tech Giants Back Legislation to Speed Federal Cloud Purchasing

Software companies are backing a bill that would make several changes to procurement rules that would benefit IT products and services vendors.

The bill (H.R. 9595) would allow for advance payments on commercially available subscription-based cloud and software services and has the support of the Alliance for Digital Innovation, whose members include Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Salesforce.
