A False Claims Act whistleblower who accused the owner of New York footwear companies of engaging in a tariff fraud scheme is ending her suit, ahead of a trial scheduled for February.
Whistleblower Devyn Taylor chose to voluntarily dismiss her case against Stefano Maroni, according to a stipulation and order of dismissal filed Thursday with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Nothing in the stipulation should be viewed as an admission of liability or wrongdoing by any party, the filing said.
