Sysco’s Challenge to Defense Agency Food Contract Falls Short

Labatt Institutional Supply Company can move forward with a $28.5 million contract to provide food and beverage items to the Defense Logistics Agency, the Government Accountability Office said.

Protester Sysco Central Texas Inc. didn’t show that the agency unreasonably failed to fully consider Labatt’s past performance information before making its award decision, the GAO said.

Sysco argued that the agency should have considered Labatt’s performance on a contract to supply subsistence products in San Antonio that was awarded after the bidders submitted final proposal revisions, and before the award decision.
