Sprezzatura Loses Challenge to VA Business Support Contracts

Sprezzatura Management Consulting LLC lost its protest of of five contract awards to provide the US Department of Veterans Affairs with general management and business support services, the GAO said in a decision released Tuesday.

Sprezzatura failed to show that the VA improperly eliminated its bid for proposing “unrealistic labor rates,” the Government Accountability Office said.

The VA’s price realism approach provided for a wide range of acceptable rates for each labor category, and didn’t rely on a mechanical threshold, as the protester argued, the GAO said.
