Siemens to Defend Drug Test Contract Protested by Microgenics

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. will defend the U.S. Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts’ award of a drug testing services contract that is being protested by Microgenics Corp., the U.S. Court of Federal Claims said.

Judge Charles F. Lettow granted on Tuesday Siemens’ motion to intervene. The protest will directly affect Siemens’ interests in the awarded contract, which carries the potential for significant economic and other harms, Siemens said.

Microgenics filed its protest with the court under seal Feb. 8, and has moved for injunctive relief.
