SelectTech Retains $115 Million Air Force Galley Support Award

SelectTech Services Corp. is cleared to perform a $115 million contract to support, overhaul, and repair the US Air Force’s air transportable galley and lavatory units, the US Government Accountability Office said.

Protester Highland Engineering Inc., which made an $84 million offer, failed to show the Air Force erred in concluding that SelectTech’s relevant past performance justified paying the higher price, the GAO said in a decision released Thursday.

The Air Force’s solicitation told bidders that past performance was significantly more important that cost/price in the best-value tradeoff analysis, the GAO said.
