Sayres’ $282.9 Million Navy Task Order Withstands CACI’s Protest

Sayres and Associates LLC can perform a $282.9 million US Navy task order for professional support services despite a protest by incumbent CACI Inc.—Fed., the GAO said in a decision released Friday.

CACI challenged various aspects of the Navy’s evaluation and award decision, including the best-value tradeoff decision.

But the Navy reasonably concluded that the technical advantages CACI offered weren’t great enough to justify paying $302 million, the Government Accountability Office said.

CACI also failed to show that the Navy conducted a flawed cost realism evaluation of Sayres’ proposal, the GAO said.
