Saronic Technologies Inc. says the US Navy’s procurement to operate and sustain littoral combat ship mission modules and small unmanned surface vehicles has requirements that unlawfully favor large defense contractors.
The procurement, worth up to $1.57 billion, unduly restricts competition by requiring the disclosure of cost data and the provision of data rights commercial contractors can’t provide, Saronic told the US Court of Federal Claims in a complaint made public Friday.
The Navy also violated a statutory preference for commercial products and services in federal contracting, the complaint says.
