Rise in Construction Contracts Boost Pentagon’s Strategic Goals

The Defense Department’s construction-related procurement has nearly doubled since the beginning of fiscal 2015 and surpassed $40 billion for the full fiscal year of 2023, according to Bloomberg Government data.

The House Military Construction-Veterans Affairs appropriations bill, which would provide $18 billion for Defense Department construction projects in fiscal 2025, is scheduled for a floor vote today.
