The Providencia Group LLC can retain its $524 million contract from the US Department of Interior to find sponsors for unaccompanied children that have been taken into custody, the Government Accountability Office said in a decision released Monday.
The services involve providing the department’s Office of Refugee Resettlement with all activities needed to safely unify children that have been taken into custody by the US Department of Homeland Security with a suitable sponsor, the GAO said.
