Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System secured dismissal of claims it violated the False Claims Act by participating in a scheme to fraudulently bill federal health-care programs for organ transplant services, a federal district court said.
Whistleblower Patrek Chase failed to allege that Parkland submitted false claims to Medicare and Medicaid, or caused others to submit false claims, Judge Jason Pulliam of the US District Court for the Western District of Texas said in an opinion granting a motion to dismiss.
