A whistleblower’s suit accusing property owner Pangea Equity Partners of defrauding a Chicago Housing Authority voucher program is dismissed because the parties reached a settlement.
Pangea—which defended against a False Claims Act suit alleging that it made false certifications about rent prices it charged under the US-funded program—and whistleblower Antoni Muhawi filed a joint stipulation of dismissal with the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Monday. Judge Manish S. Shah issued an order of dismissal the same day.
