Pandemic No Excuse for Failing to Deliver Anti-Virus Gloves

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs reasonably terminated for cause Orsa Technologies LLC’s $6.5 million contract for 50 million nitrile gloves for failing to timely deliver, the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals said.

Orsa, which agreed to the contract Jan. 22, 2021, asserted that it was excused from meeting the March 8, 2021, delivery deadline because of how the Covid-19 pandemic deteriorated the nitrile glove market and supply chain.
