Oshkosh Defense LLC’s bid to produce the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle family of vehicles for the US army wasn’t worth a nearly $800 million price premium compared to awardee AM General LLC’s proposal, the GAO said in a decision released Wednesday.
The Government Accountability Office announced its decision to uphold AM General’s award June 12.
In its public decision, the GAO said the Army reasonably concluded that Oshkosh’s proposal didn’t contain any advantages to justify paying the higher price.
