Oracle’s JEDI Challenge Is Now Moot, U.S. Tells Supreme Court

Oracle America Inc.'s challenge to the Defense Department’s $10 billion cloud computing procurement known as JEDI is moot because of the department’s July 6 cancellation and Sept. 1 termination of Microsoft’s contract award, the U.S. government told the U.S. Supreme Court.

Oracle, which said the single-award approach was improper and the procurement was tainted with conflicts of interest, has now received all the relief it could have obtained in its bid protest, acting solicitor general Brian H. Fletcher said in a Wednesday supplemental brief urging the Supreme Court to reject Oracle’s petition.
