Open Technology Fund demonstrated that it should receive nearly $20 million in fiscal year 2025 funds from the US Agency for Global Media, a federal district court said.
Judge Royce C. Lamberth of the US District Court for the District of Columbia ruled Tuesday that the funds be disbursed by Dec. 1.
The agency’s withholding of appropriated funds likely violates the Administrative Procedure Act and presents the likelihood of permanent and ongoing harm to the agency, Lamberth said in an order granting OTF’s motion for a preliminary injunction.
