An Ohio hospice care provider doing business as Village of Saint Edward will continue to defend against a whistleblower’s claim that the company took actions against her in retaliation for calling attention to Medicare fraud.
Village of Saint Edward failed to show that Kelly Ford didn’t satisfy the elements needed for a False Claims Act retaliation claim, or that her case can’t proceed against separate Village of Saint Edward locations, the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said in a Thursday order.
