Ocwen Must Face Mortgage Modification Fraud Lawsuit (Correct)

Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and others must defend against claims that they made false certifications under the Department of the Treasury’s Home Affordable Modification Program during the 2008 housing crisis, a federal district court said.

Whistleblowers Jean-Marc Eichner and Brandon Lloyd have stated plausible claims for relief under the False Claims Act at this stage, Judge Amos L. Mazzant III of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said in a Monday order.
