Nuvo to Plead Guilty to Conspiracy in Small Business Fraud Case

Nuvo Construction Co. Inc. will plead guilty to conspiracy for its role in a scheme to defraud the federal government by misrepresenting its eligibility to participate in small business contract set-aside programs.

The June 4 agreement with the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin come ones day after another defendant in the fraud case, Brian L. Ganos, agreed to plead guilty to wire and mail fraud.

The agreement doesn’t prevent the government from taking additional administrative action against Nuvo, such as debarment from federal contracting.
