Northrop Subsidiary Holds Saudi-based Contract Set for Breakup

Saudi Arabia has requested splitting up a $1.2 billion contract held by Vinnell Arabia Co., a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corp. The U.S. Army plans to unbundle the contract for training and support of the Saudi Arabian National Guard into multiple function-based competitive solicitations.

That process has delayed the recompete, resulting in release of a new request for information 11 days after the contract was set to expire.
